Supposedly black pearls are good luck? Who knew? I haven't bought a whole lot of jewelry for women in my life but this turned out perfect. The necklace is a bit thin, but it is attractive as I upgraded to the White Gold necklace. The black pearl actually complements a family heirloom ring that she wears which has a white and black pearl embedded in it.
