Information We Collect
Upon placing an order we collect your personal information:
We also collect aggregate information on our visitors. The information allows us to track which pages our customers visit and then through various analytic package, process that information to help improve the usability of our site. The log information is that being stored is the inbound IP address of our visitors, the pages they access, length of time on those pages, referring web sites. This information can be processed into a large variety of 'purposed' reports depending on the parts of the web site that are currently being analyzed.
Personally Identifiable Information
In order to place an order with PearlsOnly we require basic personally identifiable information such as your name, address, phone number. We collect this information so that we know where to ship your order to. In cases you would like us to ship the order to a location other than your billing address, we also collect this information.
We DO NOT collect nor store your credit card information - this is information is recorded directly by our payment processing companies.
Your shipping/billing address information is securely stored on our servers. During checkout, our checkout system collects your billing and shipping address, and then to avoid repetitive typing, simply passes your billing address to either PayPal, WorldPay or Amazon Checkout - so that you don't have to fill this information on these sites again. It is PayPal and WorldPay that collect your credit card information - this is a very safe mechanism - since your credit card information is NOT visible to PearlsOnly at any time and only submitted to those parties that absolutely require it. This passing of information happens only during checkout and for payment purposes only. Your information otherwise is not passes on, shared or distributed with anyone, anywhere for any other reason. During checkout, you can also optionally select to receive our newsletter and notices.
If you choose to send an item to an address other your own, the recipient will be able to identify the sender - another words, shipping to another address is not anonymous and the recipient will know at a minimum your last name.
In addition, optionally, while making a purchase you can register with our website. The registration requires a user name and password, and allows you to easily track your orders, process refund/exchange request and collect points.
Changing/Viewing your Personally Identifiable Information
Your shipping information and other information you have entered into our shopping system, can be edited by yourself online by simply login into your account (if you have setup an account). If an account has not been setup and you would like to modify the information on file, we will need to verify your identity by requesting that you send us a photo id that can establish that you are indeed the owner of record that you are requesting to view/modify. Our self service editor, can be access by clicking 'Login Button' from our home page; to view/modify this information without logging in you can contact our customer care team to request this information to be viewed/modified. Information collected from you will be used for the purpose of sending information to you about our services, responding to your questions or comments, or as otherwise may be described at the point of collection (for example on a web form or sending information to your friends email that you provided). If you provide contact information, our staff may contact you to clarify your comment or question, to provide more detailed information to you, or, if you are an existing customer, to learn about your level of satisfaction with our services. Personal information that you provide will not sell to third parties. Also, we will not share or disclose any personal information except as needed to provide you the service you have expressly requested. We use outside shipping company to ship orders and payment processing company to accept payment from you.
If you have signed up for any of our promotion communications, such as newsletters or PearlClub, and would like to no longer receive such communications, you can easily request to by simply replying to the originating email with the a note saying "unsubscribe'.
