Good and Bad...

I gave this necklace four stars because, overall, I do love it. However, it has good and bad qualities.

First the good: I adore the design. The shape and layout of the pearls give the impression of a natural riverbed. It goes with so many outfits, and can be dressed up or down, for formal or casual occasions.

Now the bad: On close inspection, the pearls are chocolate in color, not black. However, when worn with grays or blacks, they are dark enough to appear black. The clasp is also extremely cheap and flimsy. I had trouble getting the necklace to lay right on my neck, and after a little tugging and arranging the clasp broke after I wore it a couple of times. I had to go to the craft store to find a replacement clasp. While the necklace is a good value, I expected more strength and quality for the price.

Overall, though, I do love it and wear it often. It was easy for me to repair, and with care this necklace will last me a long time.
